Helping Hanz Therapies (Trading as Helping Hanz)
Services
Helping Hanz Therapies provides therapy services including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Occupational Therapy for adults, children, and young people. Sessions are either individual, with a parent/ carer (if needed), for parent/ carers, for couples, or groups.
Appointments
All appointments must be booked in advance.
Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice. They can be rearranged free of charge if 48 hours notice is given. Same day cancellations will be charged at half of the session charge. If no notice is given, and you fail to attend the session will be charged at standard rate for session.
Payments
Payment arrangements will be agreed prior to therapy commencing.
Accepted methods: bank transfer / contactless (+1.5% surcharge)
Confidentiality
All services operate under strict confidentiality, except where safeguarding or legal duties apply.
Limitation of Liability
Therapy is provided professionally and ethically, however outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY
All client information is confidential.
Information will only be shared when:
• There is a risk of harm to the client or others
• Safeguarding responsibilities apply
• Disclosure is required by law
• Consent is provided by the client or parent/guardian
Confidentiality is fundamental to ethical therapeutic practice.

Concerns should be raised by the client, directly with Helping Hanz Therapies in the first instance. If you are concerned about the therapist's ability to practice safely you can contact HCPC with any concerns, as the regulatory body of registered Occupational Therapists.

Helping Hanz Therapies Online therapy services:
• Use secure platforms (Microsoft Teams)
• Maintain confidentiality
• Follow GDPR compliance
• Require private environments
• Follow safeguarding procedures

RECORD RETENTION POLICY
At Helping Hanz Therapies records are:
• Stored securely
• Retained in line with legal requirements (7 years since last contact)
• Retained in line with professional guidance
• Destroyed securely when no longer required
